Founded to honor the legacy of Cameron Boyce
We founded The Cameron Boyce Foundation to honor Cameron’s legacy by empowering young adults living with epilepsy through education, support, and community, and to work to end SUDEP.
1 IN 26 PEOPLE WILL DEVELOP EPILEPSY IN THEIR LIFETIME
Cameron tragically passed away in 2019 from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy).
SUDEP is when someone with epilepsy dies suddenly with no other cause found. It’s the leading cause of death for people with uncontrolled seizures, and it takes an estimated 3,000 lives in the US every year.
The Cameron Boyce Foundation was created to honor his legacy, help cure epilepsy, and end SUDEP.
“We all go. What you leave should be bigger than you.”

FUNDING RESEARCH
Epilepsy is the second leading cause of death from a neurological condition, yet it receives less than half a percent of the NIH’s annual research budget.
The Cameron Boyce Foundation was founded to close that gap. Since its founding, it has raised $2 million to advance epilepsy research, awareness, and community support. The Foundation has now joined the CURE Epilepsy family and will continue raising money in Cameron’s honor to fund reserch.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
When Cameron was first diagnosed with epilepsy, his family was only given basic information, and it wasn’t enough.
That gap led to the creation of this Foundation, providing support to people newly diagnosed with epilepsy through support groups, video content, and educational resources. No one should face a diagnosis without knowing what comes next, and the Foundation continues that mission today.
